Roulette Betting
The roulette game is very addicting, and very easy to learn. It also has very simple rules that are easy to master. Mind you, this is a game that has a complex betting system. The game of roulette can allow the player to win big, if they are lucky.
Players should always keep in mind that there are, basically, two types of roulette tables. There is the American Roulette table, and the European Roulette table. The American Roulette has a casino advantage of 5.26% against the players, while the European Roulette has a house advantage of only 2.70%. So, if you have a choice I suggest that you choose the European Roulette.
The American Roulette has a double zero while the European Roulette does not have a double zero. They both have a single zero.
At the game of roulette there are choices of betting systems. Here are bet categories, their description, and also rate of payout:
1. Straight up: The player can choose which number they will place their bet on. This is on any number on the board, including the single-zero, and the double-zero. The payout is 35:1.
2. Split Bet: The player can place their chips on the line that separates two numbers. The player can win on either of the two numbers. In other words, they can bet two numbers with only one chip, at the same time, provided that the two numbers are side by side. The payout is 17:1.
3. Street Bet: This is also known as the "trio bet". This is betting on three numbers with the same token; the player places their chips at the outer right line that is at the end of the row. The player will win on any of the three specific numbers on that row, if they should come up. The payout is 11:1.
4. Corner Bet: The player can place their chips at the intersection of four numbers. This can let the player win on any of those four numbers. The payout is 8:1.
5. Five Bet: The player places their chips at the outer line of the table, between the "double zero" and the "3". This lets the player win in any of the corresponding numbers: 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. The payout is at 6:1.
6. Dozen Bet You can see on the table three boxes that are marked "1st 12", "2nd 12" and "3rd 12" in each box. You can choose to bet on any of these boxes, the payout is 2:1.
After becoming familiar with these kinds of bets, there are still other kinds of simple betting styles. The column bet (there are three columns of numbers on the wheel, each totaling 12 numbers) that gives a payout of 2:1, and red/black, and even/odd, both give a payout of 1:1.
At the roulette table you can play it safe, or not - it depends on how you bet. You can win a big amount or a small amount, this depends on how many risks are you willing to take, and, of course, these risks can cause you to lose big, as well. Either way, set out to have fun with it, and don't take the game too seriously.
